CREMONA'S PERUGIA WIN THE GP OF ITALY
Massimo Cremona's Perugia won the Gran Prix of Italy held in Rome, when in the final beat newly crowned Italian champions Pisa 2-1.In the group stages Perugia beat easily, Fiamme Azzuri B and Lazio B 4-0 respectively, then in the quarter-final saw off Fiamme Azzuri A 3-1. In the semi-final defeated Sessana 4-0 while in the final beat Pisa 2-1. Cremona was prominent from the quarter final onwards as he played all the three matches without conceding a goal, beating Napolitano 4-0 of Fiamme Azzuri, Ferrante of Sessana 2-0 and a 0-0 draw with Pocheschi of Pisa.With Cremona, there was also Derek Conti who figured for CCT Roma, who managed to reach the quarter final were they lost to Black Rose Roma 1-2.In the group stages, CCT Roma beat Fiamme Azzuri A 2-1 and San Francesco Paola 3-1.Twenty teams took part in the team event. On Sunday, it was the Individual Open Cremona reached also the Semi Final of the competition, loosing to Italy Croatti 2-3. In the group stages, Cremona Cross beat 5-1 and drew 0-0 with Capellacci.
